Matthew 6: 11
Give us this day our daily bread.
Jesus has set a perfect example
before us showing us how to pray. HE taught the disciples to pray in a God
centered manner. One of the lines in the prayer goes like this - Give us this
day our Daily bread; requesting God to provide for us and to satisfy us,
whenever we are in need - Be it a physical need, an emotional need or spiritual
need. Jesus is our bread and is our divine manna, which can fill us completely
and provide us emotional and spiritual peace and happiness. Whatever we may be
in need of today, a peace of mind, a life of joy and satisfaction, a spiritual
contentment - let us simply ask HIM, and God will give it to us, if it is
appropriate and if it is the right time. Although God knows What we need, God
expects that we ask HIM to help us in our need to satisfy us with HIS
providence. God expects us to look upon HIM and not go after other things or
people, with an attempt to get our needs met.
So, let
us simply turn our eyes to Jesus alone and present our requests to HIM and God
will gladly satisfy us - for HE is the divine Manna who can satisfy the hunger
of the world and the living water who can quench the thirst of all.
