Seeking the Lord

Psalm 34:10
But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.
We need to seek the LORD every day. When we earnestly seek the LORD, it means we give HIM prime importance in our lives. People usually say that they would love to seek the LORD, seek HIS presence, but their tight schedule at work and at home keeps them from doing so. I've heard this quote somewhere, "No one is too busy. It’s all about priorities". I believe that it’s very true. When we give more priority to our work or family, we'd definitely be "busy" doing the worldly things like Martha, when all that God expects of us is to be in HIS feet, like Mary and God will make sure that we lack nothing!
Why do we need to seek the LORD? I believe that when we seek God every day, the divine relationship is strengthened and replenished. Every relationship needs spending time together, so that the bond that is shared is cemented with love; we see that some families today do not find time to sit and talk - each member is busy with his/her own work schedule, which creates relationship gaps. Some find time to go for social gatherings but do not want to spend time with the family! This gradually leads to a situation where we'll no more be interested in our family relationships; Family, is a divine setup, that God gifts each one of us - to share, to care and to love! Family is where love begins. If we are not spending enough time together, chances are, we would start living all for ourselves (with selfish motives), neglecting our family relationships. This is exactly what might happen with our relationship with God. The lesser time we spend with God, the farther we get from HIM! That is why it is so much important to spend time with our God, to have a lasting relationship with the sweetest person - Jesus. The more we spend time with HIM, the more we love HIM and trust HIM and we grow in Christ.

How do we seek the LORD every day? There is no hard and fast rule when it comes to spending time with our loved ones - similarly we need to find our own ways to connect to our God - where only we - God and us - share special moments. When we start spending time with God, God is So thrilled about us! The best example for this in the bible is the story of Enoch. Genesis 5:24 - And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. God and Enoch walked together and talked every day and Enoch would leave home after having a good chat for a long time. One day, God could no longer leave Enoch to his home, for their friendship was so much strong that HE simply took Enoch to be with HIM for eternity! What a sweet God and what a wonderful communion! I believe that the best thing in this divine relationship is that we can talk with the LORD anytime and every time, about anything and everything! Pondering upon our past and thanking God for past victories, asking God for guidance and wisdom in every single decision we are to take in our lives, pouring out our concerns to HIM, who values our time and tears. We can find our own unique way to spend time with God, to love God and to know more about God - be it meditating on GOD'S Word, praising our God with songs or casually talking with HIM as a friend. It all depends on our mind and our priorities, to choose to spend time with our God, who longs to have a relationship with us or tangle ourselves up in worldly thoughts and work labeling it as “being-busy”.
It is indeed a sweet and blessed assurance that Jesus is ours and we are HIS! Let's cherish this beautiful divine relationship every single day - by spending our time with God and HE promises us that we will lack no Good thing! This is what, is a perfect, garden of Eden experience, where we commune with God and connect to HIM every single day.
